"What a loss for humanity": Mikheil Saakashvili about Charles Aznavour
![]() 2725 Tuesday, 02 October, 2018, 12:40 The greatest musical and poetic Genius Charles Aznavour died today. He was a friend, whom I admired since early childhood , but met first 20 years ago. His parents were ethnic armenians from Georgia and Charles told me, that they frequently spoke georgian at home. In 2012 he and me also fulfilled our common dream as he came to sing in his parents home town Akhaltsikhe at the opening of the Rabati castle which I got restored that year. It was an absolutely magic night. It is a mystic , that somehow yesterday i kept listening to his songs the entire evening and today learned about his oassing. What a loss for humanity! Adieu Charles, adieu mon ami! |
