Rustam Bakoyan: "Today marks the 6th anniversary of the Genocide of the Yazidis in Shangal"
![]() 1177 Monday, 03 August, 2020, 11:00 Member of National Assembly Rustam Bakoyan wrote on his Facebook page: ''Today marks the 6th anniversary of the Genocide of the Yazidis in Shangal. Six years have passed since the atrocities committed by the so-called "Islamic State" gang, but little has changed in the lives of those who survived the genocide, who still live in tents, seeking refuge on foreign shores where they are doomed to assimilation. Paying tribute to the memory of the victims of Shangal today, I want to to be full of hope and faith towards our future, confident that we will be on the path to more powerful justice and with the strong international community as the secret of power and victory of justice is the unity. I urge the Yazidis never to be broken, be united and defend the sacred land of our ancestors". |
