The organizers clarified that the option of participation via Zoom is not provided.
The Academy Awards ceremony in 2021 will be held only in person; the stars will not be able to participate in it through the Zoom video conferencing platform. This was announced on Thursday, with reference to letters addressed by the producers of the ceremony to its participants, the Reuters news agency reported.
“We are going to organize a safe and enjoyable evening for all of you personally, as well as for millions of movie lovers around the world, and we feel that the virtual aspect will detract from these efforts,” the producers of the ceremony wrote. They clarified that the option of participation via Zoom is not provided.
