The measures came after an article in the official Rodon Sinmun newspaper called for more to be done “to prevent capitalist culture from” occupying “the country, South Korea’s Yonhap news agency reported. Rodon Sinmun has published an article in which it is concerned that young people in North Korea are increasingly following Western fashion trends. Nose and lip piercings, skinny jeans and branded T-shirts are also prohibited. |
