Armenian Rafik Minasyan Wins Gold, Defeating Two Turks At The European U15 Weightlifting Championship

Armenian weightlifter Rafik Minasyan defeated two Turkish weightlifters at the European Under-15 weightlifting championship.
Minasyan competed in the 61 kg weight category, with the result of 258 kg, was stronger than two rivals from Turkey.
In the "snatch" the Armenian athlete was second, however, having lifted 144 kg in the "clean and jerk,” he surpassed the Turk by 9 kg.
The European U15 Weightlifting Championship is held in Poland’s Ciechanów from August 20 to 28.
