On November 10, the Tagansky Court of Moscow approved the collection of fines from Twitter, Facebook, WhatsApp in the amount of 36 million rubles. In August, Twitter and Facebook were fined 32 million rubles for repeated refusal to localize data in the Russian Federation. On August 1, 2015, a law came into force in Russia, which obliges Internet companies that work with personal data of Russians to register as an organizer for the dissemination of information and store all information transmitted and received by residents of the country for six months on the territory of the Russian Federation. |
