Several airlines have refused the night parking of aircraft in Kiev
![]() 1257 Monday, 24 January, 2022, 19:00 Three airlines have abandoned overnight stays in Kiev, changing their flight schedule so that aircraft and crews stay in Ukraine only during the daytime. The reason is the threat of a possible Russian attack on Ukraine. This is reported Аvianews.com. We are talking about the Swiss airline Swiss, the Austrian Austrian Airlines and the Dutch KLM. It is noted that on January 23, Austrian Airlines operated the evening flight OS 667 Vienna-Kyiv as scheduled. But instead of overnight parking at Boryspil airport, the plane immediately returned back to Austria on a special flight OS 1402. In the morning, the airliner was supposed to deliver passengers from Kiev to Vienna on a regular flight OS 668, but the airline canceled this flight. In addition, the evening departure of flight LX 2290 from Zurich to Kiev on January 23 was canceled by Swiss Airlines. Instead, the plane was sent to Kiev on a special flight LX7390 on the morning of January 24 to pick up passengers and return immediately. KLM flights KL 1387 from Amsterdam to Kiev are canceled from 22 January. They provided for overnight parking in Ukraine with a morning flight back. Earlier it was reported that the Airline Ratins portal published the top safest airlines as of 2022. |
