Pandora stops working in Russia
![]() 1849 Thursday, 10 March, 2022, 21:48 The Danish company Pandora terminates all business relations with Russia and Belarus for an indefinite period. This is reported by Reuters. The reason is the conduct of a special operation on the territory of Ukraine. “Pandora has no employees in Russia and Belarus, since its products are sold through official distributors. Sales in Russia and Belarus accounted for less than 1% of the total volume of the company’s goods sold in the world,” TASS reports, citing Reuters information. On the morning of February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the start of a special operation in Ukraine. In response, Western countries imposed tough sanctions against the Russian Federation. In particular, the European Union, together with the United States, Great Britain and Canada, agreed to freeze the assets of the Central Bank of Russia. Also, some Russian banks were disconnected from SWIFT. Many foreign companies have decided to suspend work in the Russian Federation. Among them are Nike, ASOS and Apple, brands Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger, retail chains Zara and H&M Group, as well as IKEA. At the same time, the Kremlin said that Russia has enough reserves to cope with Western sanctions. |
