Representatives of the Ombudsman are Visiting Communities

Representatives of the Human Rights Defender of the Republic of Artsakh make visits to Karmir Shuka, Taghavard, Myurishen, Nor Shen communities of Martuni Region, and Mkhitarashen, Shosh communities of Askeran Region of the Republic of Artsakh.
The purpose of the visits is to record the existing security problems and obstacles to organization of normal life in civilian settlements located near the contact line as a result of the 2020 war. The Human Rights Institution has repeatedly stated that the existence of the armed forces of Azerbaijan in the vicinity of civilian settlements is a direct threat to the rights and security of the civilian population and disrupts people’s normal life in their native settlements.
The results of the visits will be summarized in the next ad-hoc report of the Human Rights Defender of the Republic of Artsakh.
