Kremlin confirms U.S.-Russia talks in Ankara - TASS
![]() 1124 Monday, 14 November, 2022, 20:42 Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov confirmed on Monday to the reports that the talks between Russia and the United States were held in Ankara earlier today. Peskov asserted that Washington was the one to initiate the negotiations. Nevertheless, the spokesperson did not reveal any further details with regard to the substance of the discussions. Previously, a National Security Council spokesperson told CNN that Director of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) William Burns had a meeting with his Russian counterpart, Sergey Naryshkin, in order to talk about risk management, more specifically "nuclear risk and risks to strategic stability," and to negotiate the cases of "unjustly detained US citizens." |
