Veteran Telugu actor Chandra Mohan passes away at the age of 80

Veteran and popular Telugu film actor Chandra Mohan passed away after a brief illness at a private Hospital in Hyderabad on Saturday morning. He was 80. He is survived by his wife, Jalandhara and two daughters.
He acted in over 900 films and played lead roles in over 150 films in multiple languages. Born in 1943 in the then Krishna District, his original name was Mallampalli Chandrasekhar Rao. He was also a cousin of veteran director and Dada Sahab Phalke award winner K Vishwanath. His wife Jalandhara is an eminent writer. They informed that his last rites will be performed in Hyderabad on Monday. He was introduced to the silver screen with ‘Rangula Ratnam’ in 1966, for which he bagged the state government’s Nandi award for best actor.
Meanwhile, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, Union Culture Minister G Kishan Reddy and eminent personalities from all walks of life have condoled his death.
