US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov agreed during talks in Riyadh to create a consultative mechanism to eliminate "provocations" in relations between Russia and the United States, the State Department said in a statement.
“Lavrov and Rubio also agreed to create negotiating teams to resolve the Ukrainian conflict,” a State Department spokesman said.
“The Russian Foreign Minister and the US Secretary of State also agreed on future cooperation in the economic and investment sectors, as well as on issues of common geopolitical interest,” Reuters reported.
