Macron says nearly 30 countries ready to provide security guarantees to Ukraine
![]() 634 Tuesday, 25 February, 2025, 10:56 Some 30 countries are ready to provide security guarantees to Ukraine, French President Emmanuel Macron told the Fox News TV channel. According to him, European countries are "ready to take their fair share of the burden" to ensure Ukraine's security. "I spoke with 30 European leaders and allies. Many of them [expressed their readiness] to be part of such a deal as security guarantees of any kind," Macron said. He noted, however, that they all wanted "a message of US solidarity" in case Russia allegedly violated the agreements. US President Donald Trump earlier said he saw no problem with sending European servicemen to Ukraine as peacekeepers. |
