Trump։ Ukraine Should Forget NATO Ambitions

US President Donald Trump has announced that the United States will not offer additional security guarantees to Ukraine.

"I am not going to give additional security guarantees. We will leave that to Europe... But, of course, we will make sure that everything goes well," Trump said at his first cabinet meeting on Wednesday. Washington, in particular, can support Europe in the deployment of European peacekeepers in Ukraine.

The head of the White House expressed confidence that he will be able to end the war in Ukraine.

"We will do everything to reach an agreement that will satisfy both sides," the American leader said in a conversation with reporters. According to him, the United States will try to help Ukraine return the lost territories, although it will be difficult, but Ukraine should forget about NATO.

"The war started because of the issue of Ukraine's membership in the North Atlantic Alliance," Trump noted.
