![]() 590 Friday, 07 March, 2025, 15:20 Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has called for the resumption of negotiations on Turkey’s membership in the European Union, underlining Ankara’s strategic role in European security and economic matters. “Europe’s economic security and defense clearly demonstrate Turkey’s importance. We firmly maintain the goal of full EU membership and hope that the Union will resume negotiations,” Erdogan said. The president also expressed dissatisfaction that Turkey is being left out of Ukraine’s reconstruction plans, despite significant investments by his country’s private sector. “This is not justified,” Erdogan stressed. |
