"Putin doesn't say "no", but he makes decisions impossible" - Zelensky
![]() 438 Friday, 14 March, 2025, 10:08 Vladimir Putin is actually going to reject the US proposal for a 30-day ceasefire. This was announced by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. “Now we have all heard very predictable, very manipulative words from Russia in response to the idea of establishing a ceasefire on the front. Putin, of course, is afraid to tell President Trump directly that he wants to continue this war, that he wants to kill Ukrainians.” According to Zelensky, Putin often resorts to such tactics. The Russian president does not say “no” outright, but resorts to actions that delay everything and make normal decisions impossible. “Ukraine does not set conditions that complicate the situation. Russia does that. They need a war,” said Volodymyr Zelensky. After negotiations in Saudi Arabia, it became known that Ukraine had agreed to the US proposal for a 30-day ceasefire if Russia also took the same step. On March 13, Putin announced that he was not against a ceasefire, but demanded that Ukraine stop mobilizing and training its military, as well as not receive weapons from its allies. |
