Khamenei: "Iran has no proxy forces in the region"
![]() 566 Friday, 21 March, 2025, 11:56 Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei has warned the United States and other countries of the possible consequences of aggression against Iran. "If they commit any foolish act against the Iranian people, they will receive a harsh and crushing slap," he said. Khamenei also denied accusations that Tehran controls armed groups in the region. "Iran does not have proxy forces in the region, these groups operate independently," the Iranian Supreme Leader said. Earlier US President Donald Trump has accused Iran of supporting the Houthi movement in Yemen, threatening that the US will not limit itself to striking the rebels only. |
