Armen Gevorgyan: "Has the EU's executive bodies responded to this project?"

The draft law on “Launching the process of Armenian’s accession to the European Union “ received a positive assessment during an extraordinary session of the National Assembly’s Standing committee on European integration. It will be included in the agenda of the parliamentary sessions starting tomorrow.
Before the vote, opposition MP Armen Gevorgyan asked, “Has there been any response from the EU’s executive bodies regarding this initiative ?”
Deputy Foreign Minister Paruyr Hovhannisyan responded that the only official reaction so far has been in documents adopted by the Armenia – Eu Parliamentary Cooperation Committee. He added that “Brussels is apparently waiting for the second reading of the draft law before issuing a response”.
