Peskov: "The Black Sea Initiative is being discussed in Riyadh"

Negotiations between Russia and the United States have begun in Riyadh, the main topic of which is the details of the initiative on the safety of navigation in the Black Sea. This was reported by the press secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov.
Russia is represented at the negotiations by the head of the Federation Council International Committee Grigory Karasin and the advisor to the director of the Federal Security Service Sergey Beseda.
“The meaning of the Black Sea initiative, which Russia and the United States are discussing, is the safety of navigation,” Peskov said.
The mentioned initiative was also discussed during the recent telephone conversation between Presidents Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump.
At the same time, the Kremlin did not rule out that in addition to the Black Sea initiative, other aspects related to the Ukrainian settlement may be discussed during the Riyadh talks.
