A "window of opportunity" has opened up in relations between Russia and the United States. This was announced on March 27 by Russian Ambassador to Washington Alexander Darchiev.

"A certain window of opportunity has appeared in our bilateral relations, which were teetering on the verge of rupture under the previous American administration," he said in an interview with reporters after arriving in Washington.

According to Darchiev, the presidents of the countries set the task of restoring interstate relations and normalizing the work of diplomatic missions. He stressed that Russia and the United States are focused on results in this matter.
