#DM: "Schumacher can no longer communicate verbally"

F1 legend Schumacher - who won seven world championships - was involved in the incident in December 2013 that left him in a medically induced coma. He hasn't appeared publicly since.
Felix Gorner, a reporter for German broadcaster RTL, has lifted the lid to fans on Schumacher's status and revealed he "can no longer communicate verbally".
"The situation is very sad," said Gorner, who is viewed as one of the journalists closest to Schumacher's family and a reliable source on his health.
In 2013, after finishing his professional career, Schumacher suffered a severe head injury while skiing in the French Alps. For a long time, he was bedridden and connected to a ventilator. The ex-racer's family carefully protects his private life, not disclosing details about his current condition.
Schumacher is 56 years old, he is a seven-time Formula 1 world champion and is considered one of the best racers in the history of this championship.
