The death toll from the Myanmar earthquake has reached 20, reports the NYT.

Earlier it was reported about a powerful earthquake in Myanmar. The tremors were also felt in neighboring countries.

More than 50 people were injured in the earthquake in Thailand. A 30-story building collapsed in the capital, trapping more than 40 workers under the rubble. Thailand has suspended operations at airports, the metro and ground transport throughout the country.

After the earthquake that occurred today, people in Bangkok are in no hurry to return to their homes and offices, fearing further tremors.
