The death toll from the Myanmar earthquake has reached 20, reports the NYT.

Earlier it was reported about a powerful earthquake in Myanmar. The tremors were also felt in neighboring countries.

More than 50 people were injured in the earthquake in Thailand. A 30-story building collapsed in the capital, trapping more than 40 workers under the rubble. Thailand has suspended operations at airports, the metro and ground transport throughout the country.
