"We are close to the goal" - Trump on US-Russia-Ukraine talks

US President Donald Trump said that Washington officials are meeting with Russian and Ukrainian officials, "and we are getting there in some ways." At the same time, the US president stressed that he is unhappy with the ongoing attacks.
"I am not happy with everything that is happening with the bombing, because they are bombing like crazy right now. I do not know what is happening there," Trump said, according to CNN, during a press conference with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in the Oval Office.
Putin, in turn, noted that Russia is "gradually, not as fast as some would like," moving towards achieving its goals in Ukraine. According to him, Moscow supports a peaceful resolution of the conflict, but "not to our detriment."
The US president also answered the question of why Russia is not included in his new tariff plan: "Because we don't actually do business with Russia because they are at war," Trump explained.
