UEFA has fined the Georgian Football Federation €40,000 due to an incident that occurred during the return match against Armenian national team on March 23.
According to UEFA's decision, Georgia's next home match in the Nations League will be held behind closed doors, without spectators.
As a reminder, in the return leg of the Nations League play-off, the Georgian national team defeated the Armenian team with a score of 6-1.
After the match, a group of teenagers entered the pitch and ran toward the Georgian players. Once the players had left for the locker room, the teenagers approached the Armenian fan section and began throwing plastic and metal containers in their direction.
