Trump extends sanctions against Russia for 1 year
![]() 651 Saturday, 12 April, 2025, 23:03 US President Donald Trump has signed an executive order extending for one year a package of sanctions against Russia imposed during the Joe Biden administration, according to a notice in the US Federal Register. This is Executive Order 14024, issued on April 15, 2021, which the Biden administration has repeatedly expanded and extended. The US government initially imposed sanctions on Russian individuals and entities that, according to US officials, were involved in cyberattacks, interference in US and other elections, harming or killing US citizens, as well as financial and other activities to evade sanctions. |
