Tigran Abrahamyan։ "Azerbaijan has cornered the Armenian authorities with its preconditions"
![]() 270 Monday, 14 April, 2025, 09:00 A Facebook post by Tigran Abrahamyan, MP from the "I Have Honor" faction of the National Assembly: "Following the conclusion of the so-called "Peace Agreement" negotiations between Armenia and Azerbaijan, the April 12 meeting between the Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan was the first opportunity to discuss the topic substantively. However, the official statement released regarding the meeting, as well as the panel discussion with their participation, showed that Azerbaijan has cornered the Armenian authorities with its preconditions and is presenting a demand that cannot be resolved in a short period of time—even with great willingness. This concerns the issue of amending the Constitution of Armenia, which, even from a technical and procedural standpoint, is impossible to implement quickly. Are these nuances understood in Azerbaijan? Definitely, yes. Azerbaijan is dragging out the process in order to extract additional promises and concessions, while the Armenian authorities are exposing the country to new risks." Source: Տիգրան Աբրահամյան |
