This was stated by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov. "We welcome the desire of Iran and the United States to reach objective agreements on the Iranian nuclear program. Russia is ready to contribute to the negotiation process between Iran and the United States, if necessary," Lavrov said at a joint press conference following talks with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi. Lavrov also stressed that Tehran's legitimate interests should be taken into account when discussing the nuclear deal.
