Zelensky understands that Crimea will remain part of Russia as part of the agreement to resolve the Ukraine conflict. This was stated by US President Donald Trump in an interview with Time magazine.
“Crimea will remain part of Russia. And Zelensky understands that, and everyone understands that it (Crimea) belonged to them (the Russians) for a long time,” Trump said.
According to him, the conflict in Ukraine will not last long, and he believes that peace in Ukraine is possible during his presidency.
Regarding Ukraine’s membership in NATO, Trump believes that Ukraine will never be able to join NATO.
“I don’t think they will ever be able to join NATO,” Trump said.
"The cause of the Ukrainian conflict was Kiev's desire to join NATO," Trump added.
