Macron and Starmer call on Russia to agree to a 30-day ceasefire

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer had a telephone conversation with French President Emmanuel Macron, during which the leaders discussed the situation in Ukraine.
As UNIAN reports, this was stated on the website of the British government.
The leaders of both countries called on Russia to agree to a 30-day ceasefire.
"Regarding the situation in Ukraine, the leaders discussed the need for Russia to agree to a 30-day ceasefire in order to hold substantive peace talks. Ukraine has proven that it is ready to sit at the negotiating table and is in favor of peace," the statement said.
