Putin congratulates Pashinyan on Victory Day

On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, Russian President Vladimir Putin sent congratulatory messages to the leaders of the peoples of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Abkhazia, South Ossetia, Israel, as well as Georgia and Moldova, the Kremlin website reported.
“Our countries sacredly honor the memory of the glorious feats and great sacrifices of our fathers and grandfathers, who bravely fought shoulder to shoulder against the Nazi invaders and selflessly worked in the rear.
It is our sacred duty to preserve the messages of the victorious generation. It is very important to uncompromisingly suppress any attempts to distort our common history, to justify or forget the atrocities committed by the Nazis and their accomplices,” the Russian President noted.
