Zakharova: "The Russian delegation is ready for serious work in Istanbul"

The Russian delegation has already arrived in Istanbul for talks with Ukraine, confirmed the official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Maria Zakharova.

"As has been stated many times, the Russian side is ready for serious talks. The Russian delegation has arrived in Istanbul and is ready for serious work," she said at a briefing.

She recalled the words of Vladimir Putin, who pointed out that "the meaning of these talks is to... eliminate the root causes of the conflict, to establish a long-term, lasting peace for the historical perspective."
