"The conversation is being prepared" - Peskov

Russian President Vladimir Putin's press secretary Dmitry Peskov confirmed to TASS that a phone conversation between the presidents of Russia and the United States is expected.

"The conversation is being prepared," he said, commenting on US President Donald Trump's post about his intention to have a phone conversation with Vladimir Putin on May 19.

Earlier, Trump wrote on the Truth Social that he would have a phone conversation with Putin on May 19 at 10:00 (17:00 Moscow time) to discuss issues related to the Ukrainian settlement and trade.

The previous phone conversation between the presidents of the two countries took place on March 18.
