Hadzhiev: "There is no need for foreign military forces to be stationed in the region"

There is no need to deploy foreign armed forces in the region. This was stated by Hikmet Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan, Head of the Foreign Policy Department of the Presidential Administration, speaking at the Tehran Dialogue Forum.
In his speech, Hikmet Hajiyev, among other issues, touched upon Armenian-Azerbaijani relations and the peace process.
“Now is the best and most stable time for peace. There should be no military elements in the relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia. Azerbaijan wants to lead the region to peace and stability. We have achieved good results and have determined the boundaries of the issues. The border is not determined by occupation. We know that if the Constitution does not pose a threat to another country, the rest is the internal affair of each country. The article containing territorial claims to Azerbaijan should be excluded from the Constitution of Armenia,” Hajiyev said.
According to him, “there is no need to deploy foreign military forces in the region and foreign powers are interfering to achieve their own interests.”
