Podolyak: "Kyiv is not satisfied with the negotiations in Istanbul"
![]() 504 Tuesday, 20 May, 2025, 09:22 Ukraine is not satisfied with the negotiations between the Russian and Ukrainian delegations in Istanbul. This was stated by Mykhailo Podoliak, advisor to the head of the office of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, in an interview with Rzeczpospolita. “We are not satisfied with the negotiations in Istanbul,” he emphasized. According to Podoliak, real peace negotiations in Ukraine are possible only after a ceasefire. Recall that on May 16, the first direct negotiations between representatives of Russia and Ukraine since 2022 took place in Istanbul. The head of the Russian delegation, aide to the Russian President Vladimir Medinsky, said that Moscow was “satisfied” with the negotiations. The parties agreed to present their vision of the conflict resolution, as well as to exchange war prisoners in the “1,000 for 1,000” format. |
