Iranian film "A simple accident" wins top prize at Cannes Film Festival

Iranian director Jafar Panahi’s film “A simple accident” has won the top prize, the Palme d’Or, at the Cannes Film Festival.
The festival’s best film is about a victim of political repression in modern-day Iran who encounters her executioner and sets out to take revenge.
The film explores themes of justice, violence and collective retribution. It was shot without the permission of the Iranian government.
