"Peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan will be a strong signal for Europe" - Fico

Slovakia and Armenia are developing friendly bilateral relations and share a common Christian heritage. This was stated by Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico at the “Yerevan Dialogue” international conference launched in Yerevan.
Fico emphasized the cooperation between Slovakia and Armenia in the fields of trade, nuclear energy, defense and tourism and expressed readiness to support Armenia in its relations with the EU.
“Slovakia strongly supports the close relations between Armenia and the EU. Our country will continue to support the EU Monitoring Mission in Armenia, which has repeatedly proven its effectiveness,” Fico noted.
Referring to the process of achieving final peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan, Fico noted:
“A peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan will be a powerful message to Europe that conflicts can be resolved through diplomatic dialogue, and Slovakia is ready to fully support your efforts in this process.”
