"Progress has been made in negotiations with Iran" - Trump
![]() 967 Monday, 26 May, 2025, 11:52 Progress has been made in negotiations with Iran over its rapidly developing nuclear program. According to CNN, US President Donald Trump said this in a conversation with reporters. "We had very good negotiations with Iran yesterday and today, let's see what happens. But I think we will have good news on the Iran front," he said. "We have made some real progress, serious progress," Trump added, noting that the meetings are going in the right direction. Later, Trump said that by signing an agreement with Iran, he would like to prevent a military strike against Iran. "I can tell you that the negotiations with Iran are going very well. I would very much like it to be that way, because I would like to see that no bombs fall and many people do not die," Trump said, adding that "there is a high probability" that the parties will reach an agreement. In turn, the Omani representative announced that "some progress, but not final" has been made in the negotiations. Recall that on May 23, US and Iranian negotiators held the fifth round of US-Iran talks in Rome, mediated by Omani officials. |
