"We are resisting putinization" - Jean Noël Barrot

We are not at war with Russia or the Russian people, but we resist Putinization. This was stated by French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot at a press conference with Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan, addressing the issue of disagreements between Russia and France.

“We, Europe, are against the redrawing of borders on the European continent by force. We resist it. This resistance is manifested in our support for the sovereignty, independence, territorial integrity of Ukraine and its efforts to deter Russian military aggression,” Barrot said, noting that Europe has no territorial claims to Russia.

“Our resistance will also continue through the imposition of increasingly severe sanctions against Russia, so that peace can finally be established. Ukraine is ready for this, it is Putin’s turn,” Barrot concluded.
