Fidan is on a two-day visit to Moscow, where he met with Vladimir Putin on Monday, as well as with Russia's chief negotiator in Istanbul, Vladimir Medinsky. On Tuesday, Fidan will meet with his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov. During the meeting, Putin and Fidan discussed "the initiatives implemented recently to end the war between Ukraine and Russia, (and) the developments following the talks in Istanbul," a Turkish source said. On Monday, Russia said that the main topic of the talks with Fidan would be bilateral relations, but the issue of Ukraine would also be discussed.
