"Russia and Azerbaijan remain allies and partners" - Putin

The President of the Russian Federation sent a congratulatory message to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev on the occasion of the national holiday - Independence Day.

In his address, Vladimir Putin noted that Azerbaijan is confidently moving along the path of socio-economic development and has growing authority in the international arena.

The head of the Kremlin emphasized that relations between Russia and Azerbaijan "are of a friendly and allied nature." He expressed confidence in "further strengthening of constructive bilateral cooperation and partnership on international issues," which, according to him, "meets the interests of both peoples and contributes to strengthening stability and security in the South Caucasus and the Caspian region."
