Netanyahu calls on Iranians to revolt against their own government

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has sent a video message to the people of Iran, calling on them to rise up against the Islamic Republic’s authorities.

“The Islamic regime, which has oppressed you for almost 50 years, threatens to destroy our country, the State of Israel. The goal of Israel’s operation is to eliminate the Islamic regime’s nuclear and missile threat. As we move towards achieving our goal, we are also clearing your path to freedom,” he said.

According to Netanyahu, the Islamic Republic’s authorities are “weaker than ever” after Israel’s strikes on Iran.

“This is your opportunity to stand up and make your voice heard,” the Israeli prime minister said.

“It is time for the Iranian people to unite around their flag and their historical heritage, defending freedom from the evil regime of the oppressors,” he added.
