"Iran tried to kill Trump twice" - Netanyahu
![]() 911 Saturday, 14 June, 2025, 23:52 Iran has twice attempted to assassinate US President Donald Trump, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in a video message. In an English-language video message, Netanyahu congratulated Trump on his birthday and the 250th anniversary of the US military, and said that Israel is “defending freedom in the Middle East and beyond” in its military operation against Iran. “Right now, the Iranian regime is bombing our civilian areas, while we are attacking terrorists. This is not news. They have twice attempted to assassinate President Trump. They have bombed American embassies. They killed 241 US Marines in Beirut (in 1983). They have killed and wounded thousands of Americans with their own improvised explosive devices in Iraq and Afghanistan. They burn the American flag, they chant "Death to America" endlessly,” Netanyahu said. He also noted that Israel is attacking Iran with the open support of Trump and the American people. |
