Iran's parliament approves strategic partnership agreement with Russia
![]() 652 Monday, 16 June, 2025, 09:58 Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf has sent the approved agreement on comprehensive strategic partnership with Russia to President Masoud Pezeshkian, TASS reported, citing a statement from the Iranian Embassy in Russia. “In accordance with Article 123 of the Iranian Constitution, Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf has submitted to the President the agreement on comprehensive strategic partnership between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Russian Federation,” the embassy said in a statement. It should be recalled that according to the document, the parties seek to deepen and expand relations in all areas of mutual interest, strengthen cooperation in the field of security and defense, and closely coordinate activities at the regional and global levels, which is consistent with a long-term, comprehensive and strategic partnership. |
