Turkey's Cesme resort area catches fire
![]() 1164 Thursday, 03 July, 2025, 10:46 A massive forest fire has broken out in the Aegean resort of Cesme, with flames reaching homes and residents of three villages having been evacuated, NTV reported on Wednesday. “Residents of the villages of Ildir, Germiya and Nohutalan have been evacuated due to the fire,” the channel reported. Agriculture and Forestry Minister Ibrahim Yumakli said earlier on Wednesday that firefighters had managed to extinguish the fires that broke out in the Menderes and Seferihisar districts of Izmir province after several days. |
