Death toll rises in ferry sinking near Bali
![]() 1017 Thursday, 03 July, 2025, 12:10 At least four people have died and dozens are missing after a ferry capsized off the Indonesian island of Bali, the BBC reports. The national search and rescue agency said the ferry, which was sailing from Bali to Banyuwangi, was carrying 12 crew members and 53 passengers. Of the 29 people rescued, the search for the others is ongoing. Authorities are trying to determine the cause of the sinking. The vessel reportedly reported engine problems shortly before the sinking. |
