"We are shocked"- Peskov on the suicide of a dismissed minister

The news of the death of former Transport Minister Roman Starovoit cannot but shock, said the presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov.
"This cannot but shock normal people. Naturally, it shocked us too," he said.
According to him, President Vladimir Putin was immediately informed of Starovoit's death.
An investigation is currently underway, it is designed to answer all questions, Peskov added.
On Monday morning, he was dismissed from the post of Minister of Transport, Starovoit had worked in this post since May 2024. Before that, he headed the Kursk Region - since October 11, 2018.
On the same day, the Investigative Committee reported that the body of the former minister was found in his personal car in Odintsovo. The agency considers suicide to be the main version.
