Seoul court issues arrest warrant for former president Yoon Suk Yeol for second time
![]() 500 Thursday, 10 July, 2025, 11:35 A Seoul court has issued a second arrest warrant for former President Yoon Suk Yeol on charges related to his decision to declare martial law in December, Politico reported. The former president was first arrested in January and released in March. A new hearing was held on July 9, lasting about seven hours. Yun was charged with additional charges of abuse of power, obstruction of public officials, and falsification of official documents. The court accepted the special prosecutor’s argument that the former president could destroy evidence while at large. The former head of state was sent to pretrial detention. |
