Ara Abrahamyan: "Pashinyan's re-election will be the greatest tragedy since the genocide"

If Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stays after the elections, it will be the greatest tragedy in the entire history of Armenia since the Genocide, Ara Abrahamyan, head of the Union of Armenians of Russia, said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
“Of course, he (Pashinyan) was afraid that the church would unite Armenians and say, "Don’t vote for him." The church understands that one should not vote for him. This will be a tragedy for the Armenian people. The worst tragedy that has ever happened in the entire history of Armenia, except for the Genocide, of course,” Abrahamyan said.
According to him, Pashinyan should have the courage and say that he is resigning, “this would be a truly courageous step.”
At the same time, speaking about the extent to which this is possible, Abrahamyan noted that “sometimes a miracle happens, maybe it will also be a miracle, a gift for the Armenian people.”
