He commented on a report by The Times that Putin, Xi Jinping, and Trump might meet at a parade in China in September to mark the end of World War II. The Times noted that the US President and the Chinese leader exchanged mutual invitations for visits, but have not set specific dates yet. It also said the Russian president received an invitation to the event. Recent meetings between Putin and Xi The parties exchanged pleasantries and discussed, among other things, the war in Ukraine.
