Russia's longest coal carrier catches fire in Sakhalin

A fire broke out on Russia's longest coal conveyor near the village of Nikolskoye on Sakhalin, the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported. According to rescuers, the fire stretched up to 200 meters.
According to the latest information, firefighters have already managed to completely extinguish the fire. There are no reports of casualties.
The longest main coal conveyor in Russia is to connect the Solntsevsky coal mine with the Shakhtyorsk seaport on the western coast of Sakhalin. The length of the coal conveyor is 23 km. It was planned that the facility would be fully commissioned this year.
